On August 4, 2005, the CCRA ceremoniously launched its economic
development center to provide support to new and existing small
businesses. Located at 302 Manatee Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208,
the CCRA provides a wide range of business support services and
follow-up support to small businesses in the Central Redevelopment
Area, the City of Bradenton, and Manatee County.
In the summer of 2007 the CCRA renamed the economic development arm of
the agency the Enterprise Center to fully describe
the range of economic development services available through the
CCRA’s Enterprise Center.
What is the Enterprise Center?
The Enterprise Center provides residents with access to the economic
development resources in the business resource center. This
includes internet accessible computers, reference manuals, one-on-one
counseling of business clients covering an array of topics (start-ups,
marketing, management, business financing, legal structures),
providing training and workshops including the Entrepreneurial Boot
Camp in conjunction with the Chamber, instituting a financing matrix
which allowed clients to access information about types of non
conventional forms of financing, and creating a direct loan program
(contract mobilization loan program) to enable center clients to get
access to funds which provided mobilization money for governmental
contracts.
