CCRA Demographics

Population

  • Current population (2005) is estimated at _________ with projected population of 4,921 in 2008. The small increase is due to the expansion of Bradenton Village.

  • 35% of population was under 18 years of age in 2003.

  • 21% of population was under 1 years of age in 2003.

  • Median age is slightly over 28 years of age projected through 2008.

  • The number of residents over 65 years of age is projected to decline by 2008.

  • Ethnicity is mixed with approximately 4,900 African American, 1,000 Latino, and 890 white residents.

  • Females are projected to outnumber males through 2008.

Housing

  • CCRA contained 1,535 households in 2003 with 66% being family households and 34% being non-family households.

  • Median age of heads of households is projected to be 48 years of age in 2008.
