Kaboom!

On September 11, 2008, over 250 people came out to Norma Lloyd Park to help build a playground for the children of this community.  A $40,000 donation of playground equipment was provided through a grant from Kaboom!, sponsored by the Home Depot Foundation. Local Home Depot Stores provided over 100 volunteers for the build.  Volunteers for the Playground Build Day also came from the City of Bradenton, Manatee County, Americorp VISTA program, and many other community groups and individuals from throughout the community.
